I can't think of a bad player at the club at that time. In fact, the one player that most people didn't like was Don O'Riordan, though that was probably because he only came in when Warnock wanted to play a sweeper and everybody seemed dead against that formation until we went up a level, then Don O became a cult figure. I guess the weakest link would have been Platnauer, which is not to say he was poor but his replacement, Alan Paris, could have made a hell a difference to our chances of maintaining our place among the elite if he hadn't got injured. What days they were!
