    ...didn't we sign Shankland ?????

    I'd hazard a guess because we couldn't afford his wages. That and the fact that we only seem capable of scouting players from the English lower leagues/non leagues.

    Apart from Gallagher and Polworth.

    Scottish (based) players are hard for us to sign on what we can offer. Chances are if we're impressed by someone operating slightly lower down the food chain, others are too and everyone knows all about them. There will obviously be exceptions but I can understand why we're rarely in the home market.

    This. I heard he's on crazy money i.e. £4K per week at Tannadice. Thats why we, and other Scots clubs, didn't sign him. Lunacy.
