Went there on honeymoon, Piglet. Mrsgriff is a bit of a Gaudi fan so we saw all the usual stuff from the Park down to the house. You should have picked the Cathedral.

Not much movement this week which was mainly notable because of the four that didn’t turn up. Average was 5.4. Pete only scored 1 so that’s five folk getting that score, not that it made much difference. The biggest mover was AussieBranch, down 2 places and that’s made the AML (see below) much more interesting.

Acido was top-scorer with 8, and that magnificent effort has moved him from equal sixth to, er, sixth. Well done.

The next instalment will be this coming Saturday, 4th January so keep your pencils sharp for cup and league games.

That’s week 23 gone.

Ah Piglet, the answer WAS The Sphinx but you were a kilometre or so away in the desert, so no point.

Only 11 chose to enter this week; have extremely odd New Year’s resolutions been made or have some of you simply adopted a lazy streak? Anyway, all get the same point as this weeks poorest scorer, Crusha. That’s ONE point. That’ll teach y’all.

Another low scoring week with an average score (from those who bothered) of 4.5. Only one person moved more than one position, that’s Southblue up 2 places to 13th. Top scorer was Pete with 8 so well done to him. That’s you still in 16th spot though Pete, but a few weeks like that will have you charging up the table. Possibly.

At the top, Piglet’s lead is now down to 5 points and, no, I’m not taking bungs from Andrew Lapping. Nobby is up to 4th due to Psaw’s non-attendance.

Sorry Piglet, the correct answer was a vase of tulips from M&S, not Sao Miguel in the Azores. Wrong St Michael.

Only 12 bothered this week so well done us. The others can either come back or not; I’ll keep then in the table so that the rest of us can watch them sink slowly downwards.

Well done to Pete, Crusha and Howoldboy, top-scorers with 10s. Pete was the week’s biggest mover, up three to 13th. Crusha is up two places and Howoldboy has joined Piglet in equal top spot. Average was 6.7 though NZBlue only got 2 which therefore is also awarded to the five who’ve gone missing.

Nobby is in third again, 16 points behind the leaders with 16 weeks to go. To save you getting the calculator out that’s a point a week Nobby. It’s doable!

Not the 522 near Gowdin Hill, Piglet. The answer was Enid Blyton, you were miles away.

This was a good-scoring week with an average of 9.4, probably the best this season. Both NZBlue and Howoldboy forecast 9 correct results which is some feat. Howoldboy had two correct results among those and is top-scorer with 13 points, enough to take him above Piglet to the top.

The 5 non-entrants this week each get 5 points, courtesy of Mullen who was lowest scorer this week. That would have been average most weeks - that’s how it goes. Biggest movers were NZBlue and me up 2, and Acido and Southblue down 2.

Don’t forget that one of the postponed games is being played this Tuesday so look out for an updated table shortly after.

The wettest place in the world, Piglet? No, not Mawsynram, the correct answer was the centre circle at Brunton Park a few years back.

We were down to 11 this week as some folk seem to think that they stand no chance of catching up and taking the money. Is the money the problem? Let me know what you think. Anyway, there’s LOADS of weeks to go and nothing’s settled yet.

The eleven faithfuls managed an average of 5.5, with Howoldboy taking the plaudits with a sturdy 10. He is now six points clear of Piglet in first place, so well done to him. Southblue’s paltry 2 leaves him mired in the bottom half with the non-entrants, but at least he’s still in there and a couple of good weeks can have him up in the top half so keep at it. Same for Pete.

Few real changes in positions this week, the biggest mover was Crusha, up two places with only 5 points.

Sorry, Piglet, not the highest mountain in Europe, the correct answer was pease pudding. Easy mistake to make.

Best performer was Alf with 11 which keeps him planted in 13th, but he’s catching the pack. NZBlue got 10 and is up two places to 6th. Down two places are Psaw and the absent AussieBranch, 4 points each along with Crusha, Cayambe, Piglet and the other absentees. We managed an average of 6.8 this week though there were some strange results in my opinion. Howoldboy’s gap at the top is opening, now up to 9 points.

Sorry Piglet, not the Southend Club in Karachi. The correct answer was the Grace Gym, a couple of streets over.

Some decent predicting this week, with only three of us failing to get at least one correct score. Average was a reasonable 7.6 with a low of 4 (Southblue) and a high of 11 (me). Go me. There are no positional changes of more than one spot so it’s pretty much as you were. The top two both got 10s so no change there, but it’s now 15 points from second to third so it’ll be increasingly difficult for anyone to challenge the top pair.
