    It was a salamander, Piglet, not Salander. Stockholm looks nice though.

    This week we all forecast 49% homes, and there were 58% when the final whistles blew. We went for 29% aways and there were three - 25%. We also went for too many draws, 22% and there were 17%. No idea what it all means but it might be useful to someone.

    Average score was 6.1 with Alf and Piglet top-scoring with 9. Me (again) and Southblue hardly bothered the scorer with paltry 3s. Time for a change of tack maybe. Pete’s off the bottom and Piglet’s extending his lead at the top. Biggest risers this week were Alf and Acido, each up 3. I dropped the most, down 4 spots to 13th.

    Not easy, is it?

    1 Piglet......................(9) 75
    2 Howoldboy...............(4) 68
    3 AussieBranch............(7) 65
    4= Psaw.....................(5) 59
    4= Altobelli.................(8) 59
    6 Mullen.....................(6) 58
    7= Chalky...................(4) 55
    7= Cayambe...............(7) 55
    9 Gaz.........................(8) 54
    10 Acido.....................(8) 53
    11= NZBlue................(6) 52
    11= Alf.......................(9) 52
    13= Griff.....................(3) 50
    13= Crusha.................(4) 50
    15 Nobbyblue..............(6) 49
    16 Pete.......................(7) 41
    17 Southblue...............(3) 40

    10 weeks in Griff and so far this season 45% of the games you have selected have been homes, 28% draws and 27% aways.

    Anyone going for 12 homes each week (hgatenasty style) would have 54 points (enough to be mid-table) from results alone without any additional points from correct scores.

    If, by the end of the season you can get it to 33.3% homes, 33.3% draws and 33.3% aways that would be perfect!

    Imagine that Piglet; you think you’ve escaped the volcano, made it to Herculaneum, then comes the pyroclastic flow. Anyway, the correct answers was Silloth, where Pyroclastic Flo touts her trade nightly.

    Fylde v Sutton went the same way as the Barrow game, postponed because of boneheaded planning by the away Club. I’ll award the points when it’s played. Chalky and NZBlue failed to show and drop down the table as a result - three positions in NZBlue’s case. They got 3 points, matching this week’s lowest score, posted by Altobelli, Gaz and Crusha.

    Average Score was 5.7 helped by Piglet’s top total (again) of 10, and 9s from Mullen and Nobby. Well done Nobby - up a huge 7 places to 8th this week. Piglet’s form means that he’s pulling away at the top with a lead of 9 over Howoldboy. That’s two weeks’ scoring for some of us.

    All is not yet lost. Time to change tactics? We’r just over a quarter way though the competition so maybe now’s the time for a review and a new strategy. Good luck.
