There is no doubt that yesterday’s climatic conditions favoured Burnley, but the reason that were able to win so handsomely and start their season so impressively, was that they adapted to those conditions with a greater surety than Southampton could muster.

Sloppy Saints they were...a currently average team that dropped well into into the poor yesterday - defending (thanks Vestergaard) was atrocious - passing was "sloppy"....keeper didn't adjust to the conditions...midfield napping and the players fell apart after the first goal....that was at 63mins - and was I think our first shot on target.....but of course - good to get the three points, we capitalized from their mistakes, though with the Gunners coming up - would have liked Burnley to have had more of a testing game....rather than what was a fairly easy win against a team that if continue as they've began - would be certs for the drop.
