    Swindon after Carson?

There's a report out there that Swindon are after Trevor Carson. I expect we would be easy to deal with even though he has a full season on his contract.

To good a keeper to be on the bench every week. who is best though, Carson or Gillespie. I think Gillespie shades it because he commands his area slightly better and is a beast facing penalties. Close though.

Every team needs two top class keepers due to possible injuries, loss of form etc. Also no guarantee that Carson would be No1 choice at Swindon so playing wise don’t see what he would gain

I think Carson of 2017/18 was better than Gillespie now. But even before his illness that looked like being a career season and he's clearly not convinced Robbo he's currently better than Gillespie.

It'd be a shame to lose him but tbh clubs in our position almost never have two genuine number ones and I wouldn't be surprised if we take the gamble of letting him go.

A move might not be a bad thing for both parties. We can't afford to pay for 2 first pick goalies and Mark Gillespie has done very well. It would also give Carson a fresh start. My only concern is that our current No 3, Rohan Ferguson, is out on loan.

Morrison in the reserves is 21, if he's not ready for emergency use yet he's probably in bother.

He's also about 6'4'' so those obsessed with height will be thrilled.

Morrison was on loan to Albion Rovers last season and the position they were in the league he must have had a very busy day season and gained invaluable game time and experience which can only do him the world of good .
