    Udders Felt

So we spend 8m on a player, yet start the loanee CB signed the same day and have Davis on the bench ahead of him. Injury already?

Well earned three points. Liking Lawrence, liking the first half urgency and second half staunchness, LOVING old diddy legs not mincing on after 81 minutes. COYR! Don't think Cocu will be bouncing like Frank though

He’s gotta follow that up now, not good enough having one good game in five.. Excellent today, even defensively.
Zoon was a passenger and hid at times.

Great 1st half. 2 crackers from Lawro put us 2 up. We might have had a 3rd on 35 minutes had the ref given us the penalty we should have had when Lawro jinked just inside the box and got a full set of studs all over his foot and ankle.

No complaints about their penalty, it was one.

I expected them to come out of the blocks quickly 2nd half and they did, They also had far more of the play but they couldn't hit a cow's rear end with a banjo. They will be midtable mediocre this season as they don't look efficient enough in front of goal.

We will get better and the back 7 looked good.

    Ref good overall.

    Yes he needs to repeat

I thought Jozefzoon had an ok opening 20mins, he seems to lose concentration to easily

I don’t think he will either, Andy, but he’s bright and articulate and is the first manager to know how get the best out of Lawrence after Lampard and Rowett repeatedly just stuck him out wide.
‘Zoon offered little, Huddlestone is unbelievably slow, Dowell has still to find his feet and Malone was a liability but the rest battled manfully and Clarke looks a proper old school CD to me.
Impressed...especially with Holmes, Marriott, Bielik, Shinnie, possibly Rooney and please God...a left back...still to come in.

So those who predicted we would be rubbish this season are where?

I know one game doesn't make a season, but we were away from home against a newly relegated side from the prem and won, good start hopefully we can build on that. Agree would like to see a left back in.

Nobody mentioned Evans i thought he had a great game Need a left back desperately Not to sure about Roos he's a flapper at crosses at 6ft 5ins he should gobble them up but never does Fortunately he had little to do last night Still a great three points in to Swansea
