The only good thing about it is he's on a free and it's a pay as you play one year deal.

Apparently Bruce is an admirer. What isn't Bruce an admirer of re these cut price, older faded players!!

Bet you Rafa green with envy over the deal.

Mind given that it is a pay if you play, might be worth the risk as a super sub?

Sale of Judas shirts is probably what the club are thinking with this deal

We can't really lose on this one even though I'd have preferred not to have him back.
As long as he's free (tick) and his wages are pay for play (hopefully) and his injuries allow him some game time (potentially) then he can be a massive asset to us in terms of added ammunition.
If his desire to finish his career at his hometown club is strong then we may just get a nice big bonus player that cannot break the bank and will likely not break any spirit.

A win win win if all the things I mention are correct.
At the very worst end of the deal I would hope, if we do sign him for the year and it isn't pay for play then I hop[e his wages are at least halved.

Win win for Ashley this.Sign him and all the fans will forget about boycotts. Most of social media are going mad saying he is coming home etc.Seem to forget he couldn't wait to leave. At least the money Ashley got for him and never spent will pay his zero hrs contract wages or pay as play whatever it is.

People need to enjoy the up and coming season and the potential for some exciting football of which we've rarely seen for long enough.
I'm excited for the season...anyone else?
