I don't get the requirement for football fans to be even the slightest bit interested in what the board think or how they operate or how much money they have. What is important is the teams ability to perform at the highest level and operate in the 'Best league' (Most competitive) in the world. We currently have the strongest squad in many, many years with nobody able to predict the starting 11 due to the many options in nearly all of the playing positions.
This is our 4th consecutive year in the 'Top Flight' and I can guarantee you that there is not one club in the Premier league who looks forward to playing at or even expects to get a result at Turf Moor. Even some of the 'bigger' away games offer opportunities... I am honestly expecting something from the Arsenal game on Saturday and I am sure my confidence level is shared by many.
Any 'issues' should be directed at the manager and coaching staff and ultimately the players.

So you agree the board could authorise a bit more spending on transfers and the club would not be put at financial risk BT. Wonderful, all we have to do now is get 59 to come round to our way of thinking.

So, you are going to put your newly acquired millions into a small town football club and take them up through the divisions 59, and given the choice, you think having Mike Garlick in the Boardroom is more likely to realise your ambition than having Sean Dyche in the manager's office.

Fair enough, the call has been made, get a bag packed, the men in white coats will be calling some time this afternoon.

Perhaps we should send our "Famous Five" on an Assertion Course sinkov? Garlick said he would be happy to break our record transfer, SD said he would be "pro-active" and we have added Erik, BPF, Jay Rod and Drinky. Perhaps SD calls that being "pro-active?"

Our beloved Chairman has just said about the latest window and strengthening the first team squad...

"I am extremely proud of that fact and that we have achieved it while ensuring the financial stability of our football club for future generations. That is no mean feat in this era." Hear hear!

I seem to remember another Chairman (Barry Kilby) saying words similar to the above yet within a couple or so years we were skint, so continue with the spin Mr Garlick.

I put my hand up for a mistake on another thread, I said Garlick waited too long to sack Laws when in fact it was Kilby as Chairman with Garlick having only been a Director for around 4 years at the time, but everyone knows about my feelings not just on the current Board but past one's also.

When we lost that last lot of TV money when BK was in charge (remember that Alto?) we almost went under. I don't think MG is going to risk that again, do you?

As I recall BT when that TV Money was lost through no fault of Burnley FC it was 500 Burnley fans who came together to plug the financial gap. That is what Clarets do.

I remember it well outwood, I also remember Brendan Flood and Barry Kilby digging deep to keep us afloat.

He risks it all the time with not strengthening the team and risking all the PL monies that fill the dry powder room, once that golden goose has gone its gone for a long time IMO

Brendon Flood actually cost us money in the end (remember that BT ?)
