    Transfer window

Not bad at all but could have done with another defender.
Must have Nyambe as first choice RB.

I agree. The weak link has left. Thats probably the biggest thing of all. The other won't play much now anyway, as TM realises his mistake.
Mulgrew was told before the season finished, he was expected to be fit and ready for the start of this season. And fight for his place. Which meant attending our training camp in Austria. Instead he went off to captain Scotland, returned late, and missed the camp.
When it came to the first game, he was woeful, and he's our club captain!
This is a friendly he opted for, in the middle of summer, instead of making us his priority. Remember, he was taken out of the side because he was so poor. So we expected him to stay, to fight and to improve.
He was unfit and woeful, so now he's gone. I hope this hard line is taken more often.
We have been a soft touch too long now.

I cant comment on this LB but I hear ok things. He gives Bell a huge rocket. And leaves Williams to concentrate on just being a CH. We should have enough cover with Tosin and Grayson, who was impressive over summer. Big commanding lad him now, he has come on.
I also think Williams returning much sooner than expected, factored into 'that' performance last week hastened the exit for Charlie. I think he'd have been shipped out in the summer had one club been interested.

I don't agree with criticising players for turning out for their countries. I've never seen any complaints about Joe Root neglecting Yorkshire. It is the ultimate honour, surely.

We will miss Charlie's goals but a good move for all.
