Derby at home for the Cobblers. Wonder if Silly will be taking his Dad?

Chelsea must think they dodged a bullet getting Hull rather than us at home. We all know what we can do to Chelsea when we play ‘em!!

At least our team to watch will have a bit more wonga after tonight's results.

Carlisle gave it their all but it's Cardiff who go through to play Reading. That's £250k in the back pocket of Northampton Town too, the lowest-ranked side still in the Cup.

Some still think FA cup should be scrapped.
That money could be a lifeline to some

Great result and rewards for Tranmere tonight. Hope they do the same to ManU on Sunday.

As for our team, Come on you Cobblers against Derby. Hopefully it's a better game and atmosphere at Sixfields than it was for our Friday night game at the old County Ground back in the mid 80s, a turgid 0-0 draw when we had our player manager Dave Cusack sent off. It was a bit better a few years later when we went there on a Monday/Tuesday night and beat them 1-0 in the FA Cup with Newcastle awaiting us in the next round.

I did attend a 3rd Round FA Cup game at the old 3-sided ground (with temporary stands erected on the cricket side) in the early 80s when they entertained the European Champions at the time, Aston Villa. Sold out and it was rammed full. My girlfriend (later Mrs CA No1) and I stood on the Spion Kop, no problem for me at 6'3" but with her being 5'1" I don't think she saw too much Luckily for her it was on MOTD later that night.

Not looking forward to us playing at Tranmere. We'll be lucky to have a team left judging by the state of their pitch. It looks shocking!!
