Out of the 2 games, how many players can we say have cemented their place?

Seigrist, although i still feel has a blunder just around the corner.
Smith and Robson really good so far, but i have concerns about Connolly and Reynolds and nobody to push them.
    Butcher does what he does.
Shankland and Appere compliment each other too well.

After that, Stanton has been better than i expected but has competition coming in the shape of Harkes, McMullan might not get every game if he squanders chances, and Clark has too many ahead of him to get in his preferred position. Others coming back like C Smith and Pawlett should now be getting the chance, and even Sow will need games to get up to speed. Great position to be in!

Need more from Shankland. Not really justifying the wage.

    Which version?

Happily give him the Dees version, and i really hope they have given Citizen Kanye a similar deal!

We have had to learn the hard way and rebuild, others including that lot will get a reality check soon enough. We know they are are fecked, it may take a couple of months but their sarcasm and hearts will sink when they realise the championship is quicksand and then the fun really starts {pun intended)

Ogren and Co said last year he would play the long game to get Utd back where they should be, perhaps we should call out our so called fans who are impatient and making it hard for the club to attract the calibre of player needed.
We have Shanks but we need to attract more, getting behind the team will encourage a better quality of player to come. Real fans step forward and encourage when mistakes are made not make it worse by shouting pointless nonsense. Robson getting man of match may do wonders for his confidence but him and others should be relying on that support from the fans.

Personally I agree we need a much better central defence and definitely a midfielder that can play a killer pass and open up teams.
That type will come to a club on the up with a great positive environment, maybe through signings or maybe through higher league clubs In Scotland or wherever knowing its a great place to send their fringe players on loan.

Either way* let's get behind the team when they are struggling instead of the bile thrown by some when a stray pass, a bad cross or a bad defensive error is made.

Rant over and roll on the good times

    Good rant that.

I didn't hear much moaning from the fans last night though and a good point re the centre halves, their inability to deal with high balls in the box nearly cost us last night.

After four years of watching absolute sh1t I think the fans have been very patient. 4000+ season tickets this year would attest to that. Personally I don't boo or shout at my own team but after watching that dross for years and paying the wages of mercenary players who didn't give a sh1t about the team I don't blame people who did. Anyway let's be positive about this great start and lay off our brilliant support who have been through more than enough.

Reynolds and Connolly have been on the whole excellent, we were crying out for no nonsense types... They have flaws of course but I would not swap them for any other pairing in the league
