Maybe a daft question but will you be able to claim on your travel insurance for the stuff you've lost ?......or is that going to be more hassle than its worth ?

Sounds like you were the victim of something more serious than a normal mugging, if you were knocked oot cold in the process. And I'm not trying to play down being the victim of a normal mugging , which I imagine involves the threat of violence , rather than actual violence.

I got mugged when I was about 13. In Glasgow so it's probably a right of passage for anyone on the West coast. Felt horrible at the time tbh

Went down to see my in-laws in London I went walk about ended up in a fairly quiet street saw 2 men heading towards me about 100 meters one crossed the other side of the road walking as the same direction as the other lad .Thought to myself something up .
The guy that crossed the road I now saw him walking quickly towards me .
At the time I was running 5 minutes per mile I just ran across the road just before the dirty deed name called them all sorts of stuff
And ran away I knew they wouldn't be able to catch me.
