    Shrewsbury Town Post Match Thoughts

Due to the nature of the competition I wasn't going to do one of these but too many positives to miss out. A rare cup win, a clean sheet, goals and outings for most of the squad including us scoring rather than conceding in the half time twilight zone. Add to that, losses for our SY neighbours and the Owls only managing a pathetic P-P draw against struggling Bury then a very satisfying Tuesday night. Have we finally put the ghost of Mr Leake to rest?

    Thoughts?

Just the tonic after Saturdays dismal showing. Pity it's a cup game but hopefully we can take confidence from it.
Wunt mind another trip to Everton in next round.

Took a lot of stick Warne the last few days some justified some not.
Are the same people gonna come on and say they got it wrong ?
No course not it’s only 1 game just like the loss was only 1 game.

As for the game tonight great all round performance clinical and a class above them.

Barlaser MOM. Well done all and well done travelling faithful.
    Onto Saturday.

Great response after Saturday - the Imps won away, so perhaps we're not as bad as some feared - early days, promising signs

Great result. Let's hope that Carlton Morris' injury is only a minor one. Hopefully resting Mattock will mean that he is ok for Saturday. Good to see Smithy linking up with Freddie for another goal. That could be a productive combination if we can regularly get some quality crosses in... which we didn't manage against Lincoln. It can be done!
