    Bury game is off

No surprise really, It’s officially suspended

The EFL Board has taken the decision to suspend Bury FC’s upcoming League One fixture with Rotherham United on Tuesday 20 August 2019 as the outstanding evidence regarding a number of financial commitments has still not been provided by owner Steve Dale.

Great shame (not the cancellation), they're ****ed.

Meanwhile the Bolton Circus is allowed to carry on regardless

Plus the EFL have suspended the game and are now going to attempt to punish them further.

And still no sign of further action against Bolton for not fulfilling the fixture at end of last season

    Unbelievable Jeff

"It is now the Club’s fourth game of the season not to take place as originally scheduled and they will be referred to a Disciplinary Commission in respect of all suspended League matches."

It's sort of an unwritten rule of football. " only take action against clubs that can't afford expensive lawyers"

Plus if you read the EFL statement further down ...

In addition, Bury has also been served with a notice of charge in regard to its failure to fulfil the cup tie
against Sheffield Wednesday on Tuesday 13 August 2019.

..... they're just bullying the small kid in the playground and avoiding the big lad 'cos they're scared of him

A very popular opinion on here Bramley. However Bolton have also been charged with misconduct and referred to the independent disciplinary commission, because of the Brentford postponement last season. That was in April though so who knows when either case will be dealt with. They don't seem to bust a gut these disciplinary commission chaps - sounds like my sort of job

It's disappointing that the Neville brothers didn't buy Bury FC instead of getting involved with Salford.
Both of them are fans as was their father Neville Neville who has a stand named after him.
Their Mum Joan has worked as club secretary for 40 yrs....all of her working life.

    Strange
