Thread: One of my favourite days of 'summer'

One of my favourite days of 'summer'

Just off to Lords nice and early as there won't be much play after lunch (we did consider not going) with my picnic and bottle of fizz. Something else that is so unique about Lords
Love a test v The Aussies and licking my lips at the prospect of Archer v Smith. Let's hope it starts early and ends quickly.

Hope the rain keeps off for you but it's not looking too promising after the first couple of hours. Anyway, enjoy the day.

Hard luck 923, it really has been a dismal summer weather wise.

Daftest game to play in this country. Streets ahead and it rains and call it a draw. Could you imagine that in football?
    Ridiculous sport.

Certainly not with Albion we would always concede a shed full and lose.

There was a poll carried out a while back to find the most boring sport. Cricket came second to golf. Cant disagree with Golf being number one. They even stick it on radio commentary ffs.

Cricket is a thinking man's game for gentleman so obviously not for all.

Not yet a draw by a long way.
Just two scenarios that produce a result

England bowl them out quickly today and have a lead of 70. Bat the rest of today and 1 session tomorrow leaving 2 sessions to bowl em out

Aus bat all day and have a lead of 100. Bowl us out tomorrow in before tea leaving plenty of time to knock off around 50-70.
