With the shackles off the country will be in a better state to make its own decisions and deals. When we make a go of it - there will be more countries desperate to exit for sure!

Democracy in this country never really existed for the likes of us. We just like to pretend it did. The red buses and the Bobby to give you directions and tell you the time.
We have all had the same dream.

Ken Clarke has just announced he'll accept the job of caretaker PM. Who the frick are these people? These hardline remoaners think they can just form their own Government and install their own Prime Minister!!! Vote of no confidence - you're having a laugh. How desperate are these remainers now sounding?

It’s all hubris and a waste of Ken’s last few breaths.

Great character and I like him as a character politician but it’s not going to happen.

The Remain lot can’t even organise themselves 😂

Jeremy Corbyn will try any trick in the book to become PM. When is this man going to realise that he will never become leader of this country? He is despised by the majority, including many of his own party who he is supposed to lead. That's a joke in itself. When are the Labour Party going to realise that they will never be in power until they 'ditch' him and the likes of McDonnell and Abbott. Let's face it, Labour should be streets ahead of the Tories in the polls but they aren't. I think that says it all! Just give up and let Boris get on with it.

Lets bring some reality to all this. So called 'experts' are making contradictory predictions about what would happen in the event of a no deal Brexit. In truth, nobody really knows until either a no deal Brexit happens or a deal is done. Everyone, including experts on this forum are just guessing the outcome. Only if and when it happens then one side can safely say, 'I told you so'. Keep guessing lads.

"Many who voted remain want Boris to get on with it" - Oh right, do you speak for the country now...? The latest poll of Leave-Remain showed Remain on 55%, so this comment doesn't make much sense.

And for one final time, for you and anyone else on here...THERE IS NO MANDATE FOR A NO DEAL.

Zero people voted for a No Deal in 2016
54% of people voted for parties who specifically ruled out a No Deal in the 2017 General Election
Only 34.9% voted for parties who specifically want a No Deal in the recent European Elections this year. Add on another 9% for Tories (If a no deal Brexit is even what they want)

Finally, and most importantly, we live in a PARLIAMENTARY DEMOCRACY. And have done for hundreds of years. This is our constitution. Parliament is sovereign. If Parliament decides to vote in JC as PM - then that is our democracy working.

Personally, I'm not a fan of Corbyn, but he's an upgrade to Boris. Most people are against a No Deal - as per above election results. So this is nothing more than parliament expressing the country's position. Hopefully someone like Ken Clarke can take over and rule out the disaster that is No Deal - as is the democratic wish of the country.
blah blah fuc#ing blah, so this is nothing more than parliament expressing the country’s position.in 2016 the country’s position was LEAVE. someone like Ken Clarke (biggest middle class snob there is ) can take over and rule out the disaster that is no deal-as is the democratic wish of the country. the democratic wish of the country was in 2016 was LEAVE.

I have no time for these remainers with the surrender monkey attititude towards our country. I find it totally inconceivable that we as the 5th biggest economy in the world can't thrive and survive.

If we do leave on the 31st without a deal then in the very near future there will be one more favourable to us than what went before.

Can't take anyone seriously that thinks Corbyn is an 'upgrade' on anything.
