I think we were all expecting an easy 6 points minimum on a Rovers win tonight.
It makes sense for Bury to not play any games all season and sort themselves out.
I think it is time that Bolton do the same. All points and goals scored so far should be removed and Bolton removed from all future fixtures. We will all know where we stand then. Start next season fresh in League Two (hopefully) for both teams.

Match postponed. Bolton administrators have stated they can't fulfil the fixture... Troubled times for a club that won the cup in 1958 against a depleted Manchester United side (following the Munich air disaster earlier in the season), including Harry Gregg.

I think that if Bury are unable to meet their financial obligations by 23 Aug (3 days time), they are likely to be expelled from the EFL. I hope Bolton don't go the same route. It is sad to see a once great side reduced to the shambles of today.
The 12 point deduction rule for going into administration seems to be akin to kicking them when they are already down.

I sympathise with both clubs and fans and know how I would feel if it was Rovers in this situation. I don't think anyone will want either club to vanish from the EFL.
But with Bolton it leaves a lot of uncertainty over fixtures they can't commit to unless they drop out early in this season.
I suspect Bolton will always come back fighting one way or another. They are a big club and will probably get back into the Championship in a few years time.
