Unbelievable reading what Ipswich fans saying about Emmanuel, was comfortably the best right back in L1 when we had him on loan, now he can’t get close to the first team and they’ve just signed another right back. Bet he’s gutted they never let us have him back #rufc #itfc

I would say go and get him back Warney and push Olasunde into midfield. What a right side we would have then... He only has a year lefgt of his contract so they may be willing to cash in on the cheap...

He got better as his term here rolled along. A beast of a man with a trick and decent cross. A bit raw but he needs a run within a settled defence. Strong young man and for me didn't dissapoint and had potential. Love to have him back but Ipswich probably want strength in depth despite what the fans say. They are keeping their fringe talent where we have let good players go without a fight. A club needs 2 players per position that includes versatile players for in-game flexibility.

Go on then, which 'good players have gone without a fight ' ?

    Excellent player for us.

Ipswich recalled him from his loan with Shrewsbury in January but I don't think he got a game after his recall.
Obviously they wanted him for cover but surprising that he didn't get at least one game.
Possible that his form has gone?
If Ipswich do want to let him go and he's as good as he was then it's certainly worth considering

...or at least get him on loan till the end of the season. We need right back cover at least cos Jones is always knacked.

Strange he didnt do well at Shrews. Maybe he likes the arm round shoulder Warney treatment to motivate him.

You didn’t actually answer his question.

    Was it ££££ or personal?
    It could well be both

Josh Emmanuel was a very good signing for us. The partnership with Jon Taylor in front of him helped him play his own game. Took a while for him to get up to speed and took some criticism from sections of the crowd.
He must be around 22yrs of age, just the right age to bring in.
Doubtful at that age he will be happy sat on the bench every week as cover.
He ought to be playing to progress his career.

Cracking LGE 1 player. Given a few season could step up to champ. He's the type of player I would chuck a few quid at. Plus as mentioned above Olosunde into RM could work

Roly, can't see Ipswich allowing him to go to a main rival in the same league. What a tonic he'd be though and yes let Olosunde push up on the right. One less winger to find.
