Yep, I'd also be tempted to go with Harkes instead of Stanton. Not that he's done anything wrong, really. I just think Harkes is a better player.

Ye it would be a wee bit harsh on Stanton but I'd put Harkes back in and also Pawlett for Clark.

As everyone is saying needs a high tempo from the start. No waiting to see how they approach it. Show them how WE approach it.
    3 points please

    C'mon United

Despite the derby looming up and all the hype that goes with it, I think this is a crucial match today. Winning this will definitely put down a marker. Positive from the start, get them on the back foot, working for 90 mins. C'mon UTD.

Importance of today underlined by Morton win last night.

Hopkin will have them well organised and doing what is required for this division - still bad memories from Livi two years ago.

We need to try and show some title credentials and not be dragged back into the pack.

    Come on United!!

The Derby will be a difficult game but i'm more worried about today,Dunfermline have started the season well and are unbeaten.Forget the travesty of justice v the Funsters they drew away(in 90 minutes) against Celtic. On the 10.31 train and looking forward to a good match.

They'll need to work about us though, I'm not worried by them, it'll be a difficult game, but if we learn from thistle away and not doing things slowly to begin then we will be fine, same as next week and every week

We are not going to be easy to finish above if so going by Neilson's record to date, the rest can worry about us.

Starting slowly has been a bit of a United trait for years, even in the good times. So many times I used to think United players wanted to scratch their ars*s for twenty minutes before starting to play. It would be interesting to check back through the years and see how many goals utd have lost in early play.

As you say, hopefully Robbie will have impressed on them the need to start at a good tempo.

Yes butcher beside Reynolds with Stanton and harkes centre mid.

Feed the shanks and he will score!
