Don't know the figures for them years Vintage. But suspect the figures showed Scotland in a better light than rUK. But that's not the point I'm making. As a very intelligent Man think you know full well what I'm saying. But for those who don't have such a grasp or follow Unionist media propaganda … GERS is compiled within the context of expenditure the Scottish Government has no control over; defence, welfare, foreign policy, tax policy... The Scottish Government has to be scrupulously accurate - well, as accurate as statistical analysis ever can be - but Holyrood has no control over Westminster spending, it makes things incredibly skewed.

But if you want to band dates around According to UK RECORDS India recorded a deficit every year for 180 years during the period of British rule.
Over the same period Britain extracted 44 trillion pounds of wealth from India.
Today, these same accountants, tell us Scotland is running a deficit

Am I correct in thinking GERS day has nothing to do with the ibrox club?

Yes, stewarty27, it's like Mike Ashley promising to make Sevco's financial problems a thing of the past...
