Was our 1st Team Manager there watching or does he rely on reports from the Reserves Manager on how 1st team squad players perform in these games?

Don't know about yesterday's game but the manager usually attends the reserve matches and watches/coaches from technical area.

Willie Gibson is doing a fine job of building up the confidence of players who were on the end of a few hidings. By the way, I was speaking to a work mate( Abbey Vale coach) who reckons that Tommy Goss is a special talent that can step up to first team level.

The result and performance yesterday was extremely encouraging against a good Motherwell side.

I know Gibson has the football academy with Carmichael and is the reserves manager but do you think he should play for Queens next season, although he's 36 this year?

Depends what division we are in and what other players are available, but I would say NO THANKS, We should really be looking to find some young talent to bring through, (easier said than done I suppose), maybe a couple of players to coach properly each season, get a couple of good seasons out of them and look to sell on for some money. Unfortunately we are always looking for the quick fix, every club is I suppose, rather than nurturing our own talent. We should really be making the most of the likes of Connor Murray, a young man with potential but he needs to be coached properly and more importantly he needs to show he wants to better himself and put in the effort to do so.

i agree auld chippy for a club queens size we need to be going down the youth system root in a big way ,id be happy seeing everything every resource we can muster being put into youth development and building up a top your structure with top coaches and top facilities ,as in future this would become fruitful to the first team and drive our first team to the next level and top league .
