Certainly not the way things are looking this morning.
Our bowlers did really well yesterday, particularly Archer, in getting the Aussies out for 179.
However, once again, our batsmen are showing their inadequacies and will struggle to reach three figures the way things are going.
Mind you, we are World Champions!

One day batsmen trying to play five day Test cricket. Embarrassing.

It continues to be enbarrassing with dropped catches and sloppy fielding, however, with the way that the wicket is now playing, I think that a greater embarrassment may lie ahead! It would be a good match to win!

I'd agree with your comments Sinkov, Test's are just that, a test of patience, knowing where your stumps are and being capable, a few of our batsman are capable but like to feel the ball on bat too much which goes against a test.

Yes Sub a good match to win.

alto --interesting that Shane Warne has more or less repeated word for word what you said about patience! Anyone who has played cricket seriously at a decent level will back this up --it isn't rocket science!

Burns caught off a ball he should never have played, Roy gets bowled with a good delivery.

47 for 2, Root 16, Denly 16, need them both to be boring and wear the bowlers down.

    Tea, England 90 for 2, Root 41, Denly 30, looking for 359.

I'm pleased to see two of our batsmen trying to play Test cricket! This is still a mammoth task though and the Aussies are still bowling quite well. There are still around 27 overs scheduled for today and it would be good if Root and Denley can continue as they have done for the last 47 overs!
