Ok cast the net further in scouting theres an idea. Or at least just start scouting in general because i have a suspicion we dont. There are definatley players in our price range out there that are upgrades. I remember mentioning after being at Valerenga that their left back was f@cking excellent. When i spoke to a fan he told me he was going to Djurgardens on a Bosman at the end of the season. This boy was exciting, crossing was excellent and nobody got past him. Im sure we can pay more wages than. Djurgardens. This is just an example. One of the best players ive seen. Atalantas Andriea Masielo os up yhere two. (obviously this is without saying world class olayers like Ivan Perisic or Nangollan and such like) Ive seen others in Holland and Czech Republic to that i have though were very good players. Our club clearly goes on agents speak. Do you really think we scouted Gallagher or Greig. A scout at a Roda game. No f@cking way we did.

F@ck it give me the scouting job. I have heaps booked up for this season. "Oi Derek min, get yerself over to see Fortuna Sittard. Their centre half is a behemoth". "While you are at it, Vitesse have some beezers of players". Lyons next min. Few trips to Holland coming up too. Ill do it and you just need to cover my bar bills

But what im saying we dont need to rely on lower league guffball for most of our signings. The European market is staring us in the face and there will definatley be upgrades out there. I have seen better left backs and CBs than Considine and Taylor. I have seen hardmen CM aplenty which is what we have been crying out for.

But we will continue to sign injured duds, freebies offered by agents and f@cking Ash Taylor as its how we deal
    ^^^ Yep this ^^^

Assuming that playing budgets are not going to expand significantly anytime soon a better & much further reaching scouting network is required if we're ever going to get to the fabled "next level".

The sad fact is that we do not develop players in Scotland who are good enough technically or who have the game intelligence of many of the players at similar sized clubs we come across.

The only realistic way to bridge that gap therefore is to properly scout & sign better more technically gifted players from Scandanavia, Eastern Europe, Holland, wherever.

Relying on Scottish & lower league English players has been proven not to work - as evidenced by the fact that QR3 is the best we've ever achieved 6 years in a row,

Who exactly those players should be is down to the specialist scouts whose job it is to go find them.

Of course we'd have to have that scouting network in place first...

Overall, he's been a good addition to the squad though.
I would say he has done ok,4 assists so far is decent and his pace is a big attribute to us if used correctly.

This thread shows how fickle our support is though.

Gallagher has had a few decent games and has already made 4 assists yet some are questioning his role in the team.

But at the same time Wilson controlled a ball brilliantly against a “championship team at best” and people are wetting themselves over it

Double standards if you ever saw it.

Thanks for that. I now know which list to put your name on. It's the one that's getting longer by the day.

No. Now you mention it you still haven't answered my question. I wonder why that would be.

    Good.
    Permanently or on loan?
I thought his contract was up in December.

The P&J reported we were looking to extend his stay with us more than 6 weeks ago

    Headless chicken
Plenty of pace and fitness...little ability or end product when on the ball.
After a promising start, he's faded badly in my opinion.
