Wondered who was responsible (at least in part) for the new coaching world views. Playing out from the back, three at the back, sweeper keepers, invisible lines, Half-Spaces, players alienated from their natural positions. A fragile system and an illusory model with elephant scale fallacies, these incongruence's forged by a football model imposed from a top down, coach ego centred, prescriptive blueprint and reading Lombardi ffs, genius.

Notts dismissed the above idology in the last game and actually looked like a football team.

Nothing in all the world is more dangerous than a football coach with sincere ignorance and conscientious stupidity.

Great read. Wilko was the big difference maker at three separate clubs, doing it in different ways at each.

It's interesting who he mentions from his Notts teams, they were the players who allowed the style.

Liked the Nigel Worthington quote too... Got me thinking, why he wasn't mentioned in all the appointments we made after Munto, he was available and won a title during his time at Norwich
