Motherwell sweep aside Hamilton for a first league win

Motherwell cruised to a comfortable 3-1 win over a poor Hamilton side in the first Lanarkshire derby of the season. Peter Hartley, Liam Donnelly and Chris Long scored the goals that let us leapfrog our wee neighbours. - External Link

A good win, and Accies deserved what they got for meddling with the prices. Satisfying all round. Concerning though that we've conceded 3 very soft penalties in the last 3 games. Maybe our turn is coming shortly. A good win that now gives us some impetus and propels us up the table. Thankfully the sickness bug wasn't too bad although I doubt if Tait and Carroll will agree. Accies enjoyed good fortune today both pre match and peri match and still ended up losing 3-1.

Fewer than 3 000 at 'El Clasico'; there's a message there somewhere.

Will be interesting to see if they revert to previous entry or if they consider lost money a price worth paying for fewer Motherwell fans at the derby.

Whatever their reasoning, it backfired. They probably lost circa £20K in this ill advised move.
