Make no mistake about it Wolves got out of jail today. We struggled with Burnley's direct approach. I can't take nothing away from Barnes for his goal, both he and Chris Wood were an handful to the Wolves defence. I don't think we really got going until we had Traore, Neto and Dendoncker on the pitch. Our play before they came on was often where we'd hit the ball long and it often played into Burnley's hands.

Burnley had the better chances in the game and will feel they could have scored at least one more, the effort off the bar and the save that Rui made to keep the ball out at his near post.

As already mentioned, we didn't threaten until our three subs came on. Bar the penalty, Jimenez hitting the post was all we could create in front of goal. Even our delivery from free-kick wasn't up to the standard we have seen work so well under Nuno. Since the introduction of VAR this season we have all questioned it, but at least today it went in our favour for the foul on Jimenez.

Back to Burnley, sometimes time-wasting in football comes back to haunt you, today it did, once they took the lead they slowed their goal-kicks down, every throw-in took an eternity and every substituted played walked off at snails pace.

I'm glad we got a point in the end.

    As usual, thanks Gav.

Two thoughts. The problem we have is that the style of game we like to play everything has to be right otherwise we go nowhere. Why can't anyone coach Traore the correct technique to shoot with his left foot. It can't be that difficult to stop him dragging it every time.
