In my mind the Watford game is/was more important than the Spurs game and i can't see a fixture this season which i think we will dominate and be afforded the luxury of having Shelvey in the side.
I'm sure if Shelvey pulls the strings in games your attitude will change.
It's like plucking petals from a flower stem.
We love him, we love him not, we love him, we love him not.......

At one stage Perez was deemed so useless some didn't want him to kick another ball. Ritchie gets plenty of stick and grafts his nuts off.
Lascelles gets crucified off some and yet produces lionheart games like Dummett and many others.

Before writing anyone off let's see how Bruce sets it all out because it's far too early to judge anything with any players Bruce's deemed squad worthy.

He's not just been promoted to the first team or been signed from Europe. ..we all know what he offers.

I can't help but like Shelvey...but the team performs better without him. For some reason he can never keep it simple so the majority of his Holywood passes just end up with us defending.

Why are you so insistent on searching the board for a post to argue with? It's sad.

Why do you need a midfield in the team that comes to the edge of our box and takes the ball of our defenders. Then looks up and tries a Hollywood pass that invariably fails

He points and gesticulates at players around him to pick up players and do the running for him. He wouldn’t be anywhere near my starting 11

Especially when playing 3 cb's one of which is every bit as good if not better with long passes.

Be even better when Leujenes is back and Lascalles is benched

I like and rate Lascelles but i do agree we look much better when Leujene is in the side.
