    Is it now acceptable

To win a game with around 20% possession. Its just last season under Rafa it was boring football but under Bruce it's a good performance.I dont want to sound negative just find it a bit strange that's all.
I dont care to be honest,a win is a win.
The board idiot even at one point said he would rather lose a game having a right go at the opposition rather than win this way.How things change.

Sometimes it pays to understand what I did say.
I hated the football we played against Tottenham and I hate football being played like that. It's not enjoyable but the win is enjoyable.

My gripe with Benitez was, he still shut up shop when we were getting beat in many games. Keeping the score down rather than going for an equaliser. And his attitude seemed to be going out not to lose in any game rather than to actually win the game.

When you set up to play negative football at home, against any opposition but especially opposition that are deemed on par, then it's unacceptable to me and I'll whine and whinge.
I'll do the same if Bruce does it over the season.

I can certainly handle odd games where a defensive approach and counter attacking can benefit, as in terms of Tottenham. It does not mean I like it.
However, when the set up is played out by players giving their all then you know they're playing for the manager and fans and for their own pride...especially against a side that were champions league runners up and also regular premier league top tier in a new stadium to boot.

If anyone wants to bring up any of my posts they'll see that I praised Rafa as much as I dished him and the praising came when he changed it up by actually realising too much defensive approach gains you trouble.

This is why we had a sprint finish in the last two seasons from a point of relegation potential with a negative approach to very winnable games against clubs we shouldn't be being negative against.

If I ever see Bruce stay defensive after going behind I'll be having my digs...but before I do that I will afford him time to get things going.

Trust me...it's not hard to follow what you say...you are the one that forgets and contradicts himself.

Supporting Bruce goes with your agenda...so he can't do wrong.

If Rafa had of set up his side up to perform like that just playing hoof ball to Sours players the media and posters on here would have crucified him

Yet Flat Face does exactly the same and he’s now a master tactician. Shakes heed in amazement

With our squad, and our main strengths being our goalkeeper, defence, workmates and organisation... copying Rafa is the only way Bruce can get results....

I only hope he can get enough of them to keep us up.
