Normally I don't post after a match - but that was appalling today.
If that was a team who were practising shooting last week then God help us! The first shot in anger was in the 92nd minute from Baktoui, - apologies to the said gentleman for my spelling.
I had been really looking forward to the game, and in flashes there were some nice touches, but for me we play too much like a small sided game, - trying to be far too clever with flicks and tricks, rather than doing the simple things and then going for route one.
Dobbie almost pulled off an amazing goal, - but as mentioned, - even he keeps trying to thread the needle instead of being more direct.
The drawing board is required and some real grafters in midfield to pull us out of an early season mire I fear.

That result today was mostly down to a none existent midfield especially central and no creativity.
No ariel presence and too light weight as a whole.

No shots on target today tells the story of our plight coupled with an overall lack of fight throughout the team. Something needs to be done to get this group of players to play for the badge and soon or else this will be a very long season ahead.
