    May I remind people that some 50 odd years ago we employed a certain Brian Clough as manager with his assistant Peter Taylor.

    They only just escaped relegation in their first season.......... I am very thankful Longson didn't sack him after such an awful season.

    Doesn’t matter whether it was fifty years ago or not does it?
    The only point is that Clough and Taylor got off to a season long dodgy start but were persevered with and eventually brought Derby great success.
    Could easily be argued that Morris has shown a great deal more patience than you where managers, particularly Cocu, are concerned.
