    Byrne

I've read in a couple of places he's not a ball winner, won plenty 5050s v dons and really tried to up our tempo last 20/25 v ICT.

I'd say McGowan is more of a hustler nipping away at folk rather than a ball winner.

Whether we play 4 or 5 across the middle 2 of them have to be Byrne and Ness for me, choice is surely between Gowser and Finn if we go 5.

    No?

Byrne is a ball winner through and through, he just doesn't need to win it by crunching 50/50 tackles. He disrupts when they have the ball, he gets into the right positions to negate threat without being showy and when he has the ball he played head up.

He has to play in my opinion or maybe i see it different from everyone else.

Don't want Gowser starting as there are better options. The young lad never seems to give the ball away and makes quick forward passes, unlike Gowser
