Criticising players in the press is a certain way to lose the plot.
Lets hope a 2 week break helps to correct the situation.

If Cocu is not the answer, what is the question? Is he the key to instant success or the key to a sustainable successful future.

Okay...I know people are pissed off and disappointed...me included, but you’ve been on Cocu’s case all week, ever since the Forest match, in fact even beforehand you were bumbling on about how he’d better play a full strength team.

It took you all of twenty minutes today before you started posting more stuff about him. How does that mindset help?

I feel for those who went to Forest on Tuesday and those who travelled to Brentford today though let’s face it...you didn’t go to Nottingham and Brentford is virtually your home ground I believe so it wasn’t that bad for you.

As I say...it’s been a **** week for DCFC, but the guy’s been in charge for six Championship matches. We’ve been here before in Jim Smith’s first season and again under Clement. On both occasions we went on to be top by Boxing Day. I’m not saying that will happen this time...who knows, but what happened to all the ‘work in progress...he’ll need time’ lines of thought?

It takes time and we need a sense of perspective. The Clough/charisma comment was in response to Luckless’ comment...not yours.
Yes and I still pissed today. And today happy clappers will piss me off even more.

To be fair I waited too long to post after 20 mins. I could have posted after 5. I showed great restraint.

Yes, I have been on his case since Tuesday because he made a fundamental error and has now given himself a mountain to climb. He has crap players, he’s inherited that but jeeez, think about things man. We looked surprised at how Brentford played!! They are a busy team, we all knew that, Rosenior will have known that, so why pick Huddlestone? They killed him all game. Bielik should have played holding and Clarke CB.. 3 at the back with Bielik in the middle, something but we all knew before the game, it was wrong in midfield. Very wrong.
    That’s his fault..

My rants (not sure I really ranted, just pointed our it was absolutely crap), were pretty much backed up by Cocu’s after match comments as well. Tempo, unacceptable, arrogance blah blah blah.

Why would you feel for those who travelled, less than any other Derby fan? We will still go, we know the score, it’s Derby FFS. Was not any less bad for me.. Another stupid comment.

History has nothing to do with anything, Clement, Smith have no bearing on anything we do today.

What has my mindset got to do with anything, I looked on the team sheet and did not see my name. As always 99% of us kept with the team until that halftime whistle went and then people vented. Those same fans cheered the team out second half and pretty much stayed with them second half, bar a few. My mindset has feck all to do with anything that happens on the pitch, unless Dowell has a phone and was reading my comments. Again another stupid comment.

You pissed off, I wish you would show some passion instead of being an apologist for everything..

I don’t want Cocu sacked but he has to learn quickly what we and this league is all about. It’s simple, we don’t have the players to play total ***y football. His choice, play to our strengths of ask average players to do things they simply cannot do.

Some of those who played yesterday should be ashamed of themselves. Did Cocu inspire them in any way? Not in my book. The ‘better’ second half performance that he wanted to focus on.. Brentford could have still scored another 2 or 3, they did not have to step up at any point. They just managed the last 45 mins very well. Game was won.

Passion and desire should be a minimum. Lawrence had a decent game against Huddersfield and now thinks his season is over, job done.

Plenty were of the same mindset as me yesterday aR. Football fans are not stupid, we can see what is going on in front of us.. If it’s ****, I will call it ****. No point in saying anything else, if you don’t like it, move on, do some knitting or something..

I reckon we need to get Bielik into midfield ASAP.

For all of his inconsistency, B Johnson ended up pretty much a first pick in FLs later games.

Dowell (at the moment) is showing the square root of **** all and we can’t afford passengers in midfield.

I was pretty impressed with Clarke for the first few games.... specialist CB now left out to accommodate the acclimatising Bielik.

I really think we are buggered with the full back situation. NONE of them are decent Champ full backs other than Bogle and Fozzy (when he’s on it). With the transfer window shut, we can’t do a thing to rectify. Cocu coming in too late with the FL Chelsea saga won’t have helped.

Six games is too early to make judgement on Cocu yet imo. The “Coco” jibes aren’t helpful.
Yes, it seems he’s made selection / tactical / positional errors that we think we could have done better with.
Maybe he has to see for himself to learn.

At the end of the day, we haven’t got a fantastic squad. An 85% Rooney will be a great improvement on what we have. Does anyone think WR would have missed the chance Bennett had against WBA when he missed the target.

I won’t criticise yet but making the SAME errors can’t be ignored.

I think with FL and the back room staff going at the same time as losing 3 premier / international players was going to have us in a period of transition.
It’s not started as well as it could but Cocu does need time and a window or two to correct what we are deficient in (in we have the funds).

A win against Cardiff would be welcome.

Agree with virtually every word of that, Rob.

Angry, please note, the above is a sensible analysis rather than a hysterical overeaction.

Jesus. No wonder I hardly come on here much nowadays. The constant bickering is unacceptable.

OTR. Everybody has an opinion on everything that's what a forum is about If everybody agreed it would just be boring We could win 12on the trot without conceding and fans would still bicker , myself included
