Were Everton that good or were we just bad yesterday? Yes Everton looked good but we let them. We were always a yard off the pace, played far too many missed placed passes, and looked at times that we had never played together. If it hadn't have been for Patricio it could have been at least five or six goals against us. It has been a slow disappointing start to the season but I suppose it is inevitable with the number of games we have played and the mileage we have travelled.

However, the International break will not help us because of the number of players that we have who will be involved in some way or another. Some really need a complete break to recharge their batteries. It is early season, but we need to start picking up a few wins to move us up the table and away from the relegation dog fight.

Yeah, I think a top half finish in the table would be very impressive this season considering the burden of Europa League. We’ve already played 10 matches in all competitions. Most are only on their 5th or 6th this upcoming weekend. We will be getting a near full week of rest for the first time since the Crusaders matches. I think my goals have shifted a bit after seeing the fatigue in the squad. I just want to survive and have a solid experience in European play. REgroup for a big run next year.

I didn’t include the friendlies due to most of the players only playing a half at a time, but the travel I think absolutely has an effect. We played Crusaders just says after transcontinental flights from China
