O' a' the trades a man can try, the beggin' is the best
For when a beggar's weary he can jist sit doon and rest
And some will gie me breid and beef and some will gie me cheese
And I'll slip oot among the folk and gather up bawbees.
I bought a 'doerupper' and have been knocking into shape ever since. Top of my hit list are roof mannies that put on a gutter sloping up to the down pipe, a sparky that charged $800 to put in a new power point which is loose and the cable runs down the visible side of the wall (i was away with work). and a gate guy the burst a pipe putting in the post.
All of these things i have had to fix but i am feeling too long in the tooth for crawling under floors or in roof spaces.
Now the boom is over some of the real tradesmen will return from site and these two week course charlatans should be less common.
