He seems like a right selfish and horrible git.
I'd love to know the stories behind him at all of his clubs, from all angles to get a full insight into his psyche.
Without doubt a mercenary though. He's just one of those people that's hard to like.

Thhe whole point about the controversy between Alan Shearer and Michael the creep Owen was that Shearer was only looking at the situation from the point of view of the club, the employer of both of them, whereas Owen was only looking at the situation from the point of view of M Owen.
Owen didn't care one sh1t about this club even though it paid his wages for less than 50% of input from him.
Maybe Houllier was responsible for his greed and bitterness.
At one time he had the world at his feet and Liverpool were very reliant on him. So much so I think they ruined him by rushing him back from injury time and again meaning he played constantly from about 17 to 25 and was a serious target for defenders who couldn't handle the pace, they kicked him - thats what they do in this situation.
Maybe the worm turned and he said to himself, 'fk this" and went for money after that - Fowler got all the attention back then being local and perhaps he didn't feel enough love and fell out of love with football, something changed.
He ruined his legacy from that point on and we niavely turned out in the thousand to welcome him in when we signed, he fked us over and probably knew at the time he couldn't deliver what we expected.
Been a cnt ever since. I pity him now.
A non entity in my mind, could have been a great, so again, maybe it all comes back to Houllier.
Is he short of money or is it just attention seeking?
Beckham gets a lash as well in the book.
You won't sell a book in abundance about Michael Owen if the book is about a nice Michael Owen.
But you will sell a book in abundance if you create an outcry by attacking all and sundry. And not only that...you create a new potential book based on that aftermath of the first book.
Pretty clever in a way.
However, there's always two sides to every story for the unbiased.
There is only one side for the biased.
Many of us will naturally go against anything and everything Owen says if it attacks what is dear to us...naturally. It goes without saying.
However, from his side there will be a portion of fans and people who will weigh up the story against the backlash, etc.
It makes no odds to me because I have no likeable time for Michael Owen. I genuinely do think he is a mercenary and a smug git with a higher than thou attitude.
Mo Diame says it best of all on Twitter.
🤣🤣🤣
What did he say?
