PL - Table after fixtures of 31/8/19.

Please check (and, errr, let me know, like!) for errors and omissions. Remember, as both a twenty year bond holding Leeds fan and a New England Patriots season ticket holder, I'm barely human and the stresses and strains of both literally and figuratively using my cranium to enter your incredibly well-considered scores isn't always as accurate as it might be. Oh, and it hurts too.

Table is in format:- poster/previous total/weekly score/new total/status.

Sadly, Bury didn't manage to survive expulsion from League One and make their home 2019/2020 PL appearance, and there will be no comfort for them in that they inadvertently provided six points to all of our active posters. You've got to feel for their fans, especially given the vast fortunes sloshing around elsewhere in the top tiers of football where one squad player sat on his bum could basically have kept them in business. It is particularly poignant to lose a club founded in 1885. RIP (dead, but not yet buried?) Bury FC.

Even with the six point platform, eigh**** points was a decent weekly haul: well done to Cherrypie7 (EEpx), Lufcjohn88 (OEpO) and Silentman (OEpO). Movers instead of Shakers?

CalverleyBoy (EOpx), Deklufc (OOpO) and Orgoner (EOpx) scored fif**** points. Working the Gigg economy?

There were a trio of Strikers, two of which are odds-on to go dormant next week.

There were no draws, so any Strike One, Strike Two or Strike Three posters scored nowt for their lack of effort and Johnny_Default stays on nine points for the season.

The results:-

(PL) Palace v Villa (1-0)
(C) Birmingham v Stoke (2-1)
(L1) Bury v Doncaster (DNP)
(L2) Scunny v Carlisle (0-1)

The next set of fixtures is out as a separate thread.

Good luck!
