That is a fantastic achievement to have an average PPG in the last 19 games of 2.53. We currently have a PPG of 2.6 over the last five games in comparison. Your form is more than title winning form in itself and the fact that you've maintained this consistency for nearly half a season puts you in a good position.

Whilst both clubs have lost the same amount of games your advantage is that you have turned draws into wins. There were games in August and during November where we would probably have been higher had we done similar.

Yeovil are only 3 points behind you, but you do have two games in hand of them so you really need to be winning and drawing one of those to keep that daylight above them.

The only way we might catch you is if you have quite a dip in form even on our current form of 2.6 points we would finish on 90 points. If you drop down to 2 points per game you'll finish on 91 points.

I think it will be a really good run in regardless of who wins the title.

agreed - it will be and hopefully we can stay up there. The start of the season was annoying - we led in 7 of the 1st 9 games but managed to get only 7 points - we literally lost 14 points from winning situations....

Yeovil's biggest problem is probably their last 2 fixtures;- Barrow and Notts...

Just shared this on Twitter. A quick look at Neal Ardleys manager of the month match stats for December. 5 League matches played, W4 D1 Pts13.

main thing that stands out is goals scored, converting 21% of all attempts which would indicate we were more clinical than our opposition during those games. Imagine if we could create just a few more chances a game.

Nitts still on course for a top 7 finish, but it’s very tight with Halifax, Stockport, Solihull and Woking all in with a shout.

Had a little play with segmenting the season into 6 match segments today, just cos it seemed interesting at the time really. No real surprises but it does clearly show the pattern of the season with the poor start as expected, an upturn in results during games 7 through 18 before the poor run in November and then a greatly improved last 6. I really hope we can keep this up now!

Yes you are correct, the 9 pts should be 6 FFS. I threw it together whilst dropping tuna salad all over me keyboard at dinner

Lot's of good interesting stuff in there ncfcog. As this is a stats / prediction thread based on our current ppg and wins, defeats and draws to date I've done a prediction of how the next 15 games could go to get us to 70 points that we are on course to achieve;

P15, W6, D5, L4, Pts 23 + 47 points = 70 points total

We really need to try and turn two of my predicted five draws into wins and one of the predicted defeats to a draw get to the magic 75 points;

P15, W8, D4, L3, Pts 27 + 47 points = 75 points total

Yeovil are on course to finish on 76 points. If we want to finish 3rd then we need something like this;

P15, W8, D3, L2, Pts 29 + 47 pts = 76 points.

Basically in a nutshell we need to win at least half our remaining games if we want to finish as high in the playoffs as possible.
