Unfortunately it's our inability to win away fixtures to sides below 10th that's ruined our chances of auto.
7 of our next 11 league games are away and we're currently 14th in the away table.

Boreham Wood haven't lost since October, so I think they have to be taken seriously despite an average gate of 691. Halifax have pretty much been top 4 all season aside from a three match losing sequence which saw them drop down to 10th, but they have since recovered and are currently on a 4 match winning run. Those two look more of a danger to Barrow than we do at this stage.

Yeah it's Boreham Wood and Halifax that could be the fly in the ointment but let's not forget Harrogate who are also on a decent run right now. Yeovil are having a dodgy spell at the moment and could slip out of contention for a play off spot altogether if they suffer a repeat of last seasons end of campaign collapse. At the very least we should now be eyeing a top 3 finish and take some comfort in the fact that we have seen off both BW and Halifax home and away this season.

Will be interesting to see how Barrow's young squad copes with the pressure now the title looks within sight, it could actually work against them and all it will take is a few more indifferent results this month to completely change the league dynamic for the final 10 games. Our form is identical to Barrows for the last 10 games albeit they have a better GD for that period but we appear to be on an upward momentum right now, I think their's is stuttering.

Also, add to that the continued partnership of Lacey and Rawlinson at the back, the extra freedom on the pitch Roberts has brought for Enzio, DKE currently playing very well and Wootton back on the goals trail we should have the attitude of going into every game home and away expecting a win. It's all to play for, let's hope NA and his players feel the same way!

Yes I think the ship for automatic promotion sailed quite sometime ago.

Whilst we have lost the same amount of games as Barrow we have drew five more games than what they have, and won six less than them.

The reality is we needed to win a few more home games that we drew and got at least a point or won away from home against the likes of Chesterfield, Eastleigh, Dagenham, Ebbsfleet and Aldershot.

If we were to win all our remaining 14 games (which we won’t) then we would finish on 92 points. Barrow are on course to finish on 89 points based on their average points per game over the season to date. For them it’s another 8 or 9 wins from 13.

For us I think aim for second or third so we finish as high in the playoffs as possible.

Our first priority should be to put daylight between ourselves and the teams below us and cement our position in the playoffs.

Worrying to read that they've lost their last 8 away games. If a club is on a long losing run, historically we are the ideal team to play!

Latest stats after the draw with Woking. Have spent some time on xPPG and xG data to plot likely end of season table predictions. https://www.nottscountystats.com/post/match-33-woking-h

Interesting reading, thanks. Most frustrating thing for me yesterday (not seeing us live that often) was how little time the ball was in the Woking box. Most of our possession was between the edge of our own box and the halfway line, which the opposition will always be happy to let you have (especially when you cough up possession when you’re put under pressure). Still, we probably would have lost that one last season given the number of corners and crosses they put into the mixer.

Finally, while the ref was a joke yesterday, their left back also deserves a mention as wind-up merchant extraordinaire. Very lucky not to be sent off for two bookable offences when he fouled Cal Roberts and then knocked the ball away, delaying the free kick being taken. Never stopped complaining throughout the second half. I was really hoping he would slice one into his own net in the 94th minute - but we would have needed to put the ball in their box for that to happen.

That matched the penalty that wasn't given as the most mystifying decision the ref made yesterday. When their left back cynically took Roberts out the ref quite rightly went to his pocket for the yellow card. Their player then feigned injury to try and avoid the card, before knocking the ball 15 yards away to stop us taking the free kick. Both were absolutely blatant and separate yellow card offences which should have meant red. What did the ref do? Contrary to the laws of the game he treated it as one offence!!!!
