Probably the BBC Sub, you can never believe a word they say. Anyway due to unforeseen circumstances we didn't go to Whitby, we went to Saltburn instead, where it was a very pleasant afternoon indeed. At the moment, up here on the North Yorkshire Moors, it's teeming down so we're going to Whitby tomorrow.

Saltburn is a nice place and it did turn out to be a nice day weatherwise!
I was surprised to read that it was teeming down where you are today because it is a lovely day up here, although, it absolutely came down in buckets during the night.
Anyway, enjoy Whitby tomorrow when I shall be driving to Telford for a couple of days with my youngest son before going to Southampton on Saturday too embark on 35 days on a ship. The things you have to do to get away from Brexit etc., etc.

Monday was probably the wrong day to go, the miniature raiway in Valley Gardens was closed so I didn't get my train ride, and the Cliff Lift was closed for maintenance so we had to climb them bloody steps.

We can't keep the grandkids off that funicular at Saltburn. It would have ruined the day if the little angels would have had to actually walk up the hill!

Off to Canada, down into the USA and back to Canada for 24 days, back home and then Canary Islands for 11 days. Lovely to get away and looking forward to it after the house move and a few difficult SSAFA cases ----I am the lucky one!!
Take care and I hope that Clitheroe are improving. Ashington have a very young team, no money and are struggling, however, they are managing to pay off the £40000 debt brought about by the development of their ground ---on council money ---but that's another very involved tale with one of BT's mates involved ---For the Many ---Ashington are lucky if they get 200 there but never mind!

It's funny you should say that Supersub6, one of my best mates lives in Ashington.

    Enjoy your holidays.
