P.S. chopping the team unnecessary doesn’t help either!! Robbie, stop overthinking things, and take the same approach every game....attack, attack!
We did start slowly but over the 90 we deserved better, their 1st goal was a fortunate break of the ball off of a Liam Smith tackle and their 2nd was a penalty 30 seconds after Clark's sitter that hit the post.

Again, I'm not saying we were great but to have 19 attempts at goal and hit the post twice we were both wasteful and unfortunate.

Both Appere and McMullan should find themselves both unlucky to be on the losing side. Really like the way they both run at full backs.

Butcher done well at cb but sees himself as a cm and has been excellent there, don't get me wrong I would not have started brown today but he did, after that my main gripe was Harkes not starting over Stanton

We started slow against Partick and won and by all accounts today missed chances and a bit of luck stopped us getting back into it

Didn't have to do it though. You could clearly see Brown wasn't ready.

Started off slowly and were poor first half hour. Far better 2nd half and if Clark had scored, would have won game. Poor defending and Smith had an absolute nightmare. McMullen was poor and Shankland isolated. Appere was our best player today IMO. I think he's going to be a great player for us.
Massive game today where we had a chance to put a decent gap between us and the rest .
Typical United. Massive game next week. 🙄

FWIW i dont think Brown had a bad game and he didnt cause any of the goals, we were let down by finishing today, we had enough on target ffs...

According to the stats, both teams had 6 shots on target.

I'm not pinning the blame on anyone in particular. McCall is a wily old fox.

But, personally I wouldn't have thrown Brown in without having him train with the squad for at least a couple of weeks and take part in a couple of bounce games. A rookie mistake by Robbie. The obvious option was to drop Butch into the back line and start Harkes in midfield.

We were bound to lose a game eventually, but it is still frustrating when you get turned over.

Expect a tough game next Sat. I watched Arbroath v Partick last night and they are no mugs. Very organised and really play for each other. Their biggest weakness IMO is not being able to keep up their incredible work rate for 90 minutes.

But we better be at it in terms of endeavour next Sat or we could get smoked.

No he didn't, he defended quite well but his distribution was dodgy and he ran out of steam. A bit of a gamble by Robbie.

I thought he was especially 1st half . Final ball was poor had a couple of decent runs 2nd half, but no end product .
