Can't get the interest up these days about the internationals And I don't think I'm alone in this.

When I was a lad in the dim and distant past the internationals were a huge thing and discussed for weeks before, particularly the games against the Scots.

Those days the international players were revered as gods not like today when some of them are even despised.

I enjoyed the game. It had everything you want in a football match and of course the win to finish it all off.
Gareth Southgate's restored my faith in the England squad.
