The survey fails to include data for over 60s/65s. Why? A significant proportion of supports comprise older age groups. Otherwise not a bad survey but a few errors. Football is far too expensive and I'd like to see a top adult price of say £10 or maybe £15 at a push to make it more affordable, but thats not going to happen. No club is going to be the first to push the boat out, as that would put them at a competitive disadvantage.

Interesting that this thread should crop up today. I went online to get my concession ticket for Tynecastle. £21.00. Adding in my train fare from Lockerbie, even with a Senior Railcard, and the fact that I'll need to have something to eat while I'm in Embra for six hours, I won't get a lot of change out of £50.00.
I'll do it, but I can see why, on any rational basis, many committed fans may decide that home games will be enough.

£29 entrance the reason why fans are staying away following their team .. I travelled to Madrid with EasyJet for £21 one way !
Get real .. few can afford and fans must take action. Accept Season Tkts are good value but those under 65 yrs travelling a huge expense. Let’s not forget it’s more often phish.

Its also quite possible that over 65s will incur travelling costs as some might travel by train or car. Not all oldies will travel by bus.

Let me rephrase earlier comment ... regardless of ones age and mode of transport, £29 entrance is absurd and perhaps why fans stay away. Seriously considering Hearts match but I have self imposed cash entry limit and this exceeded.
