Knock out, home and away,Wednesday night football (dates taken from 2020)

    1st Round - 5th and 12th August

    2nd Round - 19th and 26th August

    3rd Round - 9th and 23rd September

    4th Round - 7th and 21st October

    5th Round - 4th and 18th November

    Quarter Finals - 10th and 24th March

    Semi Finals - 7th and 21st April

    Final - 12th May

Check my arithmetic but that's 256 clubs in the tournament.

No bloody seeding and if International games get in the way, f'uck them.
If the bigger teams are weakened by being missing some of their players then even better.
Excellent, sign me up. I would go a bit further and have the first two rounds regional draws as there are enough good places to visit without having to go to Outer China

Speaking of Europe, I see the scum have spawned the easiest draw possible in the last 32.
    Braga.
Currently NINTH in the Portuguese league.
    They’ll get through that comfortably.

Actually I'm prepared to be flexable with the August ties. ( up to a point, obviously Aberdeen get to draw cities where the beer is cheap and the girls are pretty)

It'll also make it easier for them to keep the lights on. Assuming you are right it guarantees them another £2M for making the last 16 (more if they go further) and makes it a virtual certainty we will finish in the top 15 UEFA countries so they get a qualifying spot in the Champions League season after next (assuming the rest of the Scottish teams continue to be dross). At that point all bets are off if they somehow sneak through the qualifying rounds, and even if they don't it then becomes so much easier to get into the Europa League Group stages ensuring the European money keeps flooding in
