Anyway, any win at tynecastle is a big triumph and much like the cup defeat wasn't really a 2-1, that wasn't really a 3-2. Robinson will no doubt be privately concerned at the sloppy goals conceded and aware our profligacy in front tof goal won't always go unpunished.

The cup loss is clearly a major dent to the season but otherwise this is becoming a very impressive start in what is looking a wide open league behind the OF. As ever, safety is the priority but at this rate we'll soon be looking for more.
We often don't manage to cash in on opponents' defensive mistakes as well as we did yesterday. At the same time we created some decent chances which we didn't put away. But it's three points, and, as The Other Maclean used to say, 'If there were nae mistakes there would be nae goals'.
