    Hearts - 24h on

There are few better ways for a Motherwell fan to spend a Saturday afternoon than by watching the team beat Hearts at Tynecastle. These days don't come often, enjoy. - External Link

Hear hear - I did, once, about fifty - something years ago, see us winning 6 - 2 at Tynie on, I think, a Wednesday night. We could have equalled that on Saturday if we'd taken some of the chances we created as well as cashing in on Hearts' mistakes. We played them off the park.

Indeed and it's worth pointing out that those, myself included, who feared a lack of goals are currently looking rather silly. It's not just the fact we've hit three in the last three games, impressive as it is, it's how we've done it. We're creating chances from open play, forcing defensive mistakes and offering a threat from set pieces. The three v Hamilton could have been four or five, and the threes v Hibs and Hearts should have been six or seven. Maybe it's just a blip against dross when we're in unusually good form but if it's not and this is our true level we're in for remarkable season.
