    Sports Personality of the Year

Coming to the Granite City on the 15th of December. I expect it will feature AFC prominently with McInnes surely a shoo-in for Coach of the Year...

Chance for them to apologise and retrospectively award the Dons the 1983 Team of the Year. Otherwise I won't be watching it again. Anyway it's mainly going to be cricketers - Ben Stokes, England 1-day team, Jofra Archer.

Stand by for many "sadly he/she couldn't be here tonight" comments as who in the (mainly English) sporting world will want to come to Aberdeen in the middle of December

I suppose that will rule out a Manilla Vanilla reunion gig happening there then...

The hyperbole about this just demonstrates how small this city is. I love it to my bones but by christ it doesn't take much to get some of the locals excited.

I'd also mirror donsdaft's disbelief at the name of the new exhibition centre.

'P&J live' as a name for the venue makes absolutely no sense whatsoever.
