    Klopp

On Joelinton,100 per cent made for the Premier League he gave us problems all game.

On Newcastle, they will give lots of teams problems,we struggled to break them down,we picked up and played well but I didn't feel comfortable even at 3-1.

It seems Klopp sees us differently than a lot of supporters.

It's not so much the players that worry fans. Most of them have fought a relegation battle for most of the last 2 seasons.
Its the useless knacker in charge that convinces me we will go down.

We have struggled under Rafa - because of our refusal to invest in players of better quality - and he has been able to keep us up. Now it's Bruce's turn and only time will tell if he can do the same. I doubt it.

But I don't agree that it's entirely his fault. Even with a manager of better quality (I believe there are many) at the helm, I think we would struggle to get into the Top 10.

Remember, Ashley has spent money this season to keep the naive fans on his side (and because the market simply demands those prices). Joelinton and Saint-Maximim both seem decent, but I don't think they've raised our general level to any particularly high degree.

Sorry to be sceptical but if I were Jurgen Klopp, this is the type of Newcastle United team and manager that I would like to be playing against this season and every season.

Exactly TT. I get why Klopp said what he did; he got his three points, quite convincingly IMO, and thus had every bit of energy and confidence to also hand out some collegial praise which is nice enough I suppose. Doesn't mean it's true, more of a courtesy situation.
