We had a random pitch invader last night.
It was all a bit Benny Hill evading the stewards and then apprehended by some home fans.
Strange behaviour
According to some on the Sunderland fans forums he was protesting the bias the ref was showing in favor of the Millers!! (The ref was a little more even-handed in the second half but on balance definitely favored them through the game.)
Others reckoned he was making his feelings known about how ineffective Jack Ross, the Sunderland manager, is. In fact many on their boards seem to have a serious down on Ross and want him replaced. They do have a strong strain of massivitis going in their fan base ("we should be beating teams like Rotherham" etc etc) In fairness though, there were several others who thought we out-muscled and out-paced them in the last hour and were worth a point or more.
Match stats -Millers 55% possession, Millers had 12 shots to the Mackems 8, both only 4 on target. They can't blame the ref for that, which corresponds to a fairly poor home side performance. Usual fairly low percentage of shots on target by us. If we can improve that...

Sunderland fans were booing their own team more than once. They think they have a right to beat every team, especially at home.
We were the more organised team in the second half. A well deserved point that could have been three, we were still attacking in the 96th minute.
Overall a draw was a fair result.
Bring on Shrewsbury !
Yes bring on the Shrews
We can tame them.
