As an aside, I got some cracking running shoes out of Decathlon last week. Like all the stuff I get from there they were cheap but I know they are decent quality. No frills gear but very functional.
Not like the shiit in another well known store. I bought a pair of Karrimor trainers a few years ago and they lasted 6 months before the sole came off.
Karrimor used to make decent equipment at one time 20 years ago - i still have a rucksack bought in 1990 for my Duke of Edinburgh. Still in one piece, I even slept in it when my sleeping bag got chucked in the river once.

Agree Decathlon stuff is very underated with good value and better quality than Ashleys' tat.
